on a tight budget and very professional

If you haven't noticed: I've change my confused cat mascot for a serious looking black and white picture. That'll be due to the fact that I finally decided between full anonymity and a partial face reveal.

In the end, I thought to myself that the likelihood of someone I know picking up TLBD and reading it was so low that there was no harm in a cheeky side profile. I was looking through my bookshelf for ideas on how to frame my author picture and saw a high contrast photo of Joan Didion looking cool and embodied on her couch in her classic plain-tee uniform.

So, inspired, I sat around my apartment taking profile self-timer pictures of myself until I finally chose one that had the riiiight amount of face for my comfort.

But this morning (23/07) I cheered to myself when the smashwords pre-order link appeared. My stomach hurts but I am very excited, it feels like I spent so long reading up on how to self-publish that I forgot that I could just do it.

And to have the physical proof copy being printed and sent my way, it's all so delightful.
